Rossetti Tenute

rossetti logo.jpg

Italy’s Chianti Classico stretches between Florence and Siena, and includes only 14 municipalities. It’s a small wine region that produces one of the best-known and appreciated wines, crafted primarily from the Sangiovese variety. Wine has been produced in this area for more than 2,000 years, since the time of the Etruscans.

Located near Vinci in the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Pisa, Rossetti specializes in the production of various types and denominations of wine, including a highly acclaimed Chianti Classico. A modern, technologically advanced winery helps ensure quality vintage after vintage.

Dr Pauly

Voted as Wine & Spirits Magazine's Winery of the Year 2012

Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler is a family owned and operated Wine Estate in Bernkastel on the Moselle River. The most important assets of the Estate are its vineyards. Extensive care of these vineyards, combined with selective handpicking that results in low yields, serve as guarantors for extraordinary wines with individual and unique character, vintage after vintage.

The winery's quality orientation is showcased in their state of the art wine cellar, while workflow is focused on gentle treatment of the grapes and the young wines. Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler's goal is to make unique low alcohol Rieslings such that each of the 25+ Riesling wines show individual vineyard character

Sacred Hill

Sacred hill logo.JPG

From small winery to international star, Sacred Hill has come a long
way in the last two decades. There have been many changes since
those first grapes were crushed by foot on family land in Hawke’s Bay,
but the essence of Sacred Hill remains the same - creating fine wine
and good times for family and friends to share.

Over the past years we have diversified and now have four ranges of wines. All are clearly distinct from one another reflecting the unique characters of the
regions, vineyards they originate from and the influence of the skilled wine-making team.

Jean-Luc Colombo

Jean-Luc Colombo is a man of warmth, energy, passion, and an insatiable appetite for the Good Things in Life. His dedication to the “plaisirs de la table” (pleasures of the table) took root early, stemming from many long and happy hours spent as a small boy, assisting his mother, a talented restaurateur in Marseille, in the kitchen. Jean-Luc’s subsequent decision to pursue the study of oenology was inevitable, in order to create wines which would match his mother's cuisine! With his wife Anne, Jean-Luc created the “Centre Oenologique des Côtes du Rhône” in Cornas, and for the past 25 years, he has been a consulting winemaker for some of the best domaines in the Rhône Valley, Provence and Bordeaux.

Jean-Luc is well-known for his conviviality and generosity. His hospitality is legendary, and he is always eager and ready to entertain and surprise his Provencal friends and overseas visitors with an unforgettable meal. He is equally a man of deep convictions, who can always be relied on to ably defend the rich cultural heritage of French gastronomy. For Jean-Luc, wine and food are indivisible. In his experience, a good meal without a glass of wine does not exist because, as the great gourmand French King Henri IV said: “Good cuisine and good wine, that’s heaven on earth!”

The Cleaver

cleaver logo.JPG

Dense. Rich. Intense.

Deep and dark, The Cleaver is silky smooth with threads of acidity that pace from front to back, balancing the full-bodied weight of this wine. A definite delight in the flavor department, this blend of red varietals offers black plum, blackberry jam, and a smidge of peppercorn to keep it interesting.

As the name implies, this wine is designed to go with big cuts of delicious meat. But its food-friendly nature extends to distinctive, aged cheeses, rubs with interesting spices, and a few other items that are still found in your butcher’s realm like pork, lamb, or turkey.

JEAN

Idiomatic French expression meaning “It’s a bit crazy”, in homage to a grape variety that’s in a class of its own!

To make a wine that captures my spirit, I chose a variety with personality: Gamay Noir.

Like its name, it holds the intense purple red color of its clusters, like the sun’s rays enriched with purple shades. Under the skin, a delicate appearance and generous flavors of ripe juicy berries, must be preserved until harvest.

It is then that all the facets of the personality of this grape variety are expressed in their unique way: amplitude, finesse, delicacy and freshness.

Both simple and elegant, red wines from Gamay Noir are delicious when young, and also after several years of aging!

Vignevti Del Vulture

Vulture is part of a large area that extends to the north of Basilicata region, dominated by the austere profile of the Monte Vulture, a non-active volcano.  For centuries the volcanoes were experienced as a source of destruction and death, today farmers are compensated for the damage caused by the eruptions of the past centuries by being able to grow vines on land lava from the incomparable wealth of minerals, which provide the grapes complexity exclusive.

VIGNETI DEL SALENTO

“Light” and “Stone”: that’s where it all begins in the land of Salento. The “light” penetrates in the secret clefts of the ground with its Mediterranean character, it warms the red color of the soil, draws the scents from the sea and makes the sparse bunches of grapes turn red. The solid, indestructible “stone”, soft and malleable, emerges from the subsoil, gasping for air; it draws the boundary lines on the dry stone and secretly tangles with the Trulli (typical cylinder shaped houses with a conical roof) across the meadows where the trees are hundreds of years old. In this special atmosphere the old grapevines lay still and silent, in the same place for almost a century. They struggle with the passing of time, drawing heat from the “light” and refreshment from the “stone”. We wonder if it’s a miracle, or a principle of nature, but these old grapevines still offer their precious fruits, despite their struggles.
